Multimedia such as song and movie clps hog lots of storage space.
Pick a model that contains a memory card slot (usually for Mini-SD or SD Memory Cards) so you can stretch the storage room.

Test the demo units at the stores. Fiddle around with the different equaliser settings to assess how the player handles differe easilent types of songs from classical music to heavy metal tracks.
Watch it
If your mean to watch videos and browse photos on th MP3 player as well evaluate the LCD screen for the colour, brightness and clarity of the images.
Touch and feel
You should be able to hop from one menu to the next smoothly and logically. For example, albums and playlists should be located quickly when needed.
