Dog found 3,000 km from home

Sydney - A pet dog that vanished from an Australian town has been found two months later, wandering 3,000 km from home, the media reported on Wednesday.

The dog was flown home on Thursday after it was found wandering in Darwin, Australia's northernmost city, and sent to a pound where it was dentified by a microchip inserted under its skin.

"Its just goes to show the value of having your dog micro-chipped, "its owner Shirley Lowry said.
